Poker as we already know has just lately becoming more and more popular, mainly due to television coverage, such as poker tournaments and online casinos which are heavily advertised. Originally the name ‘poker` was thought to be once called ‘poque` believed to date back as far as 1800`s while under French
rule and played with a 20 cards pack in the US during the 1850`s.

The game as we know it today is played with a standard card pack of 52 with many different variations of the game, from 3 card poker which was introduced in UK modern casinos in the mid 1990`s, 5 card stud poker which tends to a simpler choice to learn , 7 card stud poker tending to be the most popular choice, and not forgetting texas hold `em, for the most advanced player who has skill, and the ability to what is known as `bluff,` the other players.

The set up unlike other games is the dealer deals 5 cards starting from the left to each of the players
including his or hers self face down, and the players deal against each other until only one player
remains, (all the other players have lost their stakes), the number of players can vary, anything from 2 to 14 people can play at any one time.
